Go home, we dont want you now

I am sick of coming to work for a 5 hour shift and then being told after 2 hours to go home. Apparently there aren't enough customers. I know i am legally entitled to demand that my rostered shift be adhered to, but who's gonna enforce that??? The managers can make the remaining hours of the shift shit if i do kick up a fuss, and they have more than suggested that they will. I plan a day (a life) around work and then they change their minds on me. Would it be alright if i rocked up to work and said "i cant be bothered staying for all my shift, i want to go home after 2 hours"?

Its a single edged sword!!!
