: The franchise store pays crew members more money, crew members receive more frequent pay raises, the store provides paid vacations and benefits.
: The corporate store pays the crew members less money, less frequent raises, the store doesn't even understand the words paid vacation, and if you want benefits you have to pay an arm and a leg for them (on a regular salary they would be quite affordable, they wouldn't be affordable on minimum wage unless you worked 60 hours a week.)****At our store if we have record sales for the month our owner/operator sends us a lovely, expensive bouquet of flowers which are displayed in the store.
: As far as food products go, the franchised store offers more of a selection of menu items, however some items are about 5-10 cents more than the corporate store. The really ironic thing about this is that these two stores are less than 10 miles apart.
****I don't know about other franchises in Australia, but ours is 5-10 cents cheaper that the corporate stores, as "we are not as greedy" (quoting a manager). All stores offer the same menu items though.
