: i always find it somewhat dumb that so many humans believe we are such an advanced species. some even go as far as to say an intelligent species.: but why is it that the only species capable of reasoning cannot come up with ways to ensure the survival of our species, esp. when we can forsee our grim futures plain as day?
Amen, brother. It's really nuts, isn't it? The dinosaurs had no control over their demise - it's well accepted that, even if they had posessed the cognitive ability to realize what was happening (not likely) that their lack of thumbs would have prevented them from doing anything about it. Sadly, we not only see that the end is drawing nigh and ignore it, we categorically DENY that anything is wrong simply because we don't want to believe that it's true! And if that weren't bad enough, a majority of the people that do know what's going on are the exact same people who are responsible for the quickening in the first place. Man, are we a screwed up race or what? We deserve to be extinct.
