: The poor children in the 3rd world making your $100 shoes so that they can make maybe a nickel out of it! And your Jumping down out throats about MCD's?? You have no room to talk! Keep child labour alive, cause thats what your doing! You got it McDWorker! These people are complete hypocrites. They hate McDonalds because it's a multinational, yet they think nothing of wearing clothes like Nike(which is a multinational)that is made by slaves. They think that McD's exploites workers? They don't, but I guarantee the people who made your clothes are. But what can you do about it? Refusing to buy thier product won't make a difference. You just gotta hope that one day our government will do something to come to the aid of those people.

McSpotlight: No. Never wear anything made by Nike, personally. Try checking out Corporate Watch. Check out our Beyond McDonald's page.
The fundamental point behind this is that yes, all transnational corporates exploit cheap labour and raw materials in the Third World to prop up living conditions in the First World; the real root cause behind this is capitalism itself; not any one country. McDonald's are the focus of this site because they tried to silence people who were just pointing this out.
