: Does anyone know the percentage(if any)of mealworms used in McDonald's beef patties? I saw a documentary on this several years ago, but could never determine the percentage of mealworms they use in their burgers or if they are even still used as a protein source and "filler" .

: McSpotlight: They don't, as far as we know. Worms of various sorts have been found in McD's burgers, but they're not officially part of the recipe.

This is, yet again, one of those idiotic myths that pop up way too often. McDonald's uses 100% beef in their hamburgers.

McSpotlight: However, "100% beef" usually includes growth hormones, GM- and/or rainforest-produced soya, dioxins, organophosphate herbicides, antibiotics and any heavy metal contaminant the cow ate while alive. Not to mention the prions that cause things like BSE or scrapie.
