It's very brave to prefer open debate to glorious violence

Why shouldn't they? At least in England, a person apparently can get off a lot more lightly if he merely vandalizes a business, than if he hands out mostly-but-possibly-not-entirely-true pamphlets about their activities.

It's very brave to prefer open debate to glorious violence, when the penalty for speech is higher.
