Pancakes in UK

Anyone in the UK who regularly has brekky at McD's is probably aware of the Bacon Roll. And very nice it is too. Just one point: It is now a permanent menu item, but the grills were all being used before, so where is the bacon being cooked? Obviously, on a grill. The problem is, so that the bacon is fresh, all the pancakes are now cooked before the restaurant opens, and are then chilled so they last the entire morning, with pancakes being microwaved as needed. I haven't tried this method, but quite frankly I don't think I want to. The old pancakes were nice, but microwave food tastes like rubber at the best of times, so I don't think I'll bother with them any more. Just thought you regular pancake eaters would like an update on the new procedures:-) Tim
