Nobody in this room is an idiot, as far as I can tell. If that rumor were true, there would certainly be no confirmation from Mcdonald's on it; it would be necessary to have a sample of soft-serve tested at a laboratory. However, people are inclined to believe food-related rumors such as these. In today's times, one is never quite certain where their food came from. Is it really as wholesome as advertised? Perhaps it fell on the floor, or someone spit in it...there is just no way to tell. Therefore, such a rumor is believable, even after attempts to disprove it.
