Hello:It seems you have become like that which you have opposed. I hope you can let go of some of your anger and bitterness--against whom I know not...Home schooling for us has become a necessity because our daughter's educational goals are not supported in traditional public school classrooms and we cannot afford private school. As for socialization, our daughter socializes with whom she chooses; she is sixteen, not six, so this is appropriate for our situation. She will be spending the next eighteen months or so playing 'catch-up,' and will then be choosing her own curriculum. I sincerely hope you will keep an open mind with respect to both the education of children and the needs of society.
We are out to create the society that will meet our needs, not to fit into a society which is not meeting very many people's needs...not if you really think about it.
