Myself, I don't follow fashion trends. I go to Wal-Mart, Kmart, and Target to buy most of my clothes. While I hold none of those chains in high esteem, they do seem to have the best prices at least on certain clothing. I typically buy Fruit Of The Loom pocket t-shirts, which are usually less than $6 apiece, and Rustler Jeans, which are usually less than $10 a pair. The shirts, at least legally speaking, are made in the USA, and I admit the jeans are made in Costa Rica. And you can criticize me all you want for buying any product made in a third-world country, but hey, the alternative is running around naked. I don't live anywhere near Max Yasgur's pasture, and Woodstock happened 30 years ago.
The way to bring manufacturing jobs back into the States is to push for a fair tax system, and less government regulation, meaning rules that promote workplace safety that are not numerous and complicated. Don't get me wrong, folks. I'm not excusing the corporations' actions of running to other countries. They should have communicated with Washington AND their employees what effects runaway government regulation and excessive taxes would have. They chose to run instead.
To summarize, this is not a perfect world. Clothes are items that everyone needs. Most of us do not want to go running around naked, and I'm quite sure that goes for the 10% of the population that has "perfect" bodies.
