Piss Poor Customer Service

How's this for customer service...I take my two kids to McDonalds located at 1114 W.Kearney in Springfield,MO for dinner. As with most kids, they like McDonalds for some ungodly reason. We pull up to the drive through menu and the kids take notice of the latest toy for sale, or to be included in the Happy Meal. Well, these kids are certainly not toddlers and can eat more than I can. So, I elect to order them their favorite Value Meal and when ordering I explain that I would like to purchase two of the toys as well. (Some kind of beanbag bullshit toy) The skank working the cash register tells me that she can only sell me one toy unless I purchase a Happy meal with my order. Needless to say, this is beyond ridiculous. I tell her that she can keep the stupid toy, and although I normally wouldn't have even made any kind of purchase after that kind of treatment, I was in a hurry so I purchsed the food and left without incident. Later, I telephoned the manager to tell her what I thought (as if she were concerned) and explained that she should seriously re-evaluate the value of that particular employee as I would not be returning and therefore the business just lost about $300.00 a year. This is where it gets good...She stated that it was "Corporate policy" that they can only sell one toy per visit. When I asked, "Do you mean McDonalds Corporate Offices send people down to monitor the distribution of Happy meal toys?" she replied (before she realized how ridiculous it sounded) "Yes"...Once I started laughing at her rather uncontrolably she realized just what kind of line she had tried to sell me and began the "but..but...but.." routine. I told her to save it for the next customer and hung up on her. Jesus Christ, Does McDonalds have ANY kind of educational standards for hiring personnel for management?..Obviously not.
