Ok, I was with you until you suggested that Disney is responsible for the content of Mulan. Mulan is actually an ancient Chinese tale, and evidently the men of that era were fooled, as were many, many men by female spies in the US Civil War and all subsequent Wars and previous. Sorry, but Disney did keep it semi-accurate. Where Disney failed and where I was surprised you failed to pick up on, was changing the cultural heritage of China to include excessive self-importance, while downplaying, if not eliminating, the role of pride & family honor.
