I went through a McD's in NC today and tried to order a cheeseburger and drink for me and a kid's drink for my 4-yr old only to be told that they no longer will sell kid's drinks without the purchase of a happy meal. As the mother of two small kids, I don't eat in restaraunts that do not offer kid's menus with kid's prices. I find their new attitude very ironic given their efforts to market themselves as "kid friendly". Refusing to sell Kid's size drinks without a happy meal forces the parent to waste money buying a drink that is too big (they won't drink it) and one that is too large for their smaller hands to hold. I will not go there again.
