Welcome, little baby
Welcome...
To a world
Bright and terrible,
Hopeless and magnificent.
We'll all be watching
To see how you fair.
To witness whether
The ecstasy of your birth
Will crumble in the face
Of tragic realization.
Will you surrender?
I wonder...
To the black hole
of normality?
Or will your soul
Break free
From the chains of
Mediocrity?
Will your spirit
Burn fiercely
With the passions
Of potentiality?
And take flight
On the wings of
Bright Freedom?
Or will you suffer
The drudging dullness
Of complacency and commonality.
Welcome, Little baby!!!
Life is your treasure box,
Time and Experience
Are its spoils.
Wrest from them
The wealth
Of Truth and Happiness,
Of Love and Liberty
And Joyful dreams of bliss.
