Here's another approach.

Let us say that a team of scientists (who privately own the scientific means of production in a given society) discover the cure to AIDS or cancer. Because they own their 'intellectual property,' they can WITHHOLD the cure FROM society UNTIL society is ready to cough up WHATEVER the scientists want in xchange for their intellectual property.

You're in school now.

Wait unti you get out into the REAL world of 'science.'
