The greedy capitalist running dogs, always on the lookout for cheaper labor, saw females as that source. Somehow the evil capitalist managed to seduce women by the boatloads into leaving kith and kin to take up the rigors of an eight hour shift or begin a long climb up the corporate ladder.
Never mind about "The Feminine Mystique" published in the early '50's and the budding feminist movement throughout the '60's. Never mind about a whole decade, the '60's, known for it's own cultural revolution breaking with tradition and the past in general. Nope, the evil capitalists made women take up jobs; they made them do it.
