SDF: From reading Aihwa Ong's SPIRITS OF RESISTANCE AND CAPITALIST DISCIPLINE, it's easy to see how working in the "satanic mills" of the present is an escape from one regime of sexist exploitation into another. Escape? It's at least a system of baited traps, its justification is cynical...
