I'll have you know that one of the most enjoyable experiences I've ever had is related to my attempt to join the Black Muslims, after what proved to be a rather entertaining exercise in bald-faced spin by the featured speaker. Were I "black" (which, I was informed, apparently was the deciding criteria in favor of my 'blackballing', as it were), I would most enthusiastically attend said rallies of Forest's finest. It may go some ways to explain why I am here.In any case, I doubt either version of my 'self' would achieve much in convincing the dedicated fanatic of the error of his ways. It would, however, help me to leaven my own. That, after all, is the value behind discussions of those with diametrically opposing viewpoints - one is far more likely to spot discrepancies in strongly held views in these jousts than in spats of mutually affirming backslaps.
(Although the 'backslaps' are most welcome, Frenchy. No...really...)
You should take comfort in the understanding that fact, whatever it might be, will stay constant whatever the rhetoric to the contrary. It is that, and not the muddled opinions of your contemporaries (my own pearls of wisdom, of course, excluded) that should be of primary concern to you. In any case, that is inevitably what does count, when all the fur settles.

P.S. They're both 'fact', you silly boy. Who else spends hours on a political debating BBS, other than ideological junkies?
None.
