That is an admirable post NJ but your wasting your time, not that debate with capitalists is at all wrong you just have to know what variety your dealing with.Gee for instance is a sincere capitalist and libertarian, he's sincere not correct but anyway, he has time to listen and can accept that if the status quo isnt the friendly capitalism that he advocates then the socialist status quo, they used to call it actually existing socialism, isnt the friednly socialism that genuine people advocate.
However in the case of Frenchy or DonS you might aswell be trying to convince a Calculator that 2 and 2 equal 5 because:
A) Their ego's are so closely fused with thier ideology that they think any disagreement is slanderous and scoffing to them personally, I'd like to see this freedom they advocate where disagreement isnt allowed.
B) They are so prejudiced against Socialists etc. that they dont want to take any time to investigate their opinions, consider their views with interest if not agreement and generally debate. They arent here to debate just disrupt with their commited, and continual, posts of nonsensical statistics that mean nothing. As I've said are Christians everywhere renouncing their belifes because they become aware of the thousands of muslims murdered in the crusades?
If your unsure for a moment that Frenchy isnt prejudiced just check out his response to Gee's post responding to DDN's post entitled "give me this or give me death" in which he says he couldn't be bothered to read or respond to it, this demonstrates the gulf between Gee and himself, the gulf I've just highlighted.
Fundamentally they'll never break through the prejudice barrier and accept that the murderous reputations of the advocates of some beliefs dont effect the overall legitimacy of those beliefs and if you cant admit other beliefs are legitimate you arent debating your really carrying out a kind of bigotted onslaught.
