State capitalist? Each demanding a different position on the 'unconditional defence of russia' policy- over here we have some 5 trot groups I could name, Socialist Workers Party (Tonmy Cliff), Marxist party, Socialist Equality Party (Both ex- Workers Revolutionary Party, and claiming to be the official Committee For the Fourth International Branches- healyite Splinters), Alliance for Workers Liberty, Socialist Appeal (Ted Grant), and 'Socialist Party' formerly known as Millitant, but they can't stand at elections as Socialist Party coz that was our name first (we aren't trots).

Let me ask you this then. What is the basic thing that seperates a Trotskyite from a Leninist?
The reason I ask is because the other day I happened to be sauntering about the U.C. Berkeley campus and stumbled across a couple of middle aged Marxists doing their monthly duty and handing out pamphlets and broad sheets supporting Communism. I asked them the same question and they more or less denied that there was any real difference, that it was the idea of actually putting Marxist ideas into practice that made one a Marxist.
So I just don't know. Some Communists say there is a difference and others say there is no difference.
Sort of confusing, no?
