It seems like apples and oranges to me Lark - when I talk about self defence I'm not talking about someone cutting you up, mouthing off or trying to pinch your bike - I'm talking about someone coming at you to do serious damage, or invading your house forcing you into a fight/flight decision.

I'm all for working poeple contesting their conditions, as long as it doesnt include blocking the entrance to other willing workers - ie monopolising labor.
