g: (1) see "Changes in hours worked since 1950" by McGratten & Rogerson (In the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis research department - Quarterly Review Vol. 22 No. 1) which states;

: "The number of weekly hours of work per person in the united states has been roughly constant since WW2. At the same time, the amount of real compensation per hour worked has more than doubled.".

Qx: How about compensation for housework? If one wants to talk about alienated labor then they might not have to look much further. Who attaches the monetary value to household work? Let's not go around sayoing that the links I'm providing here are unrelated. They're very related and really do matter.
