The section of the Manifesto you quoted does specify---realistically---that only a 'small section of the ruling class' will 'cut itself adrift' to join the revolutionary class.

I wouldn't interpret that to mean that every last one of those bastards will be waving the red flag!

My Lenin quote---in case I didn't put it into proper context---was a reassurance that Communist Parties do NOT exclude the rank and file---whatever their level of class consciousness may be (at the time).
