Not unlike the railroads and the interstate highways---which were provided for the capitalists at the taxpayer's expense...

So the fundamentalist notion of 'pure' laissez faire---incompatable as it is with free enterprise itself!--- is revealed once and for all as the impossible abstraction that it is...
