Same analogy, different scenario;
I invest my money and go home. Being convinced that I'm going to make a profit I put my life savings into this investment (by the way, my life savings are the result of my hard work. Are you suggesting that people who work to earn a living not be allowed to invest their own money because they are then stealing...? Anyways...)
Unfortunately, due to bad management, a rotten product mix, troubles with the IRS, and a stagnant economy, my investment goes tits up.
Haven't I been robbed just as surely as your oppressed worker? Aren't I now as destitute as he? Don't forget, I'm required to stay at home so I'm not earning wages to off-set a day like this.
Should the state make good my loss, or in some other way subsidize my loss?
Take human nature into account and these sorts of analogies fall to pieces.
