: G: He sounds like a fool. McD's culture of conformity, assuming it follows these words, would be dreadful to me. There are many more companies who try to avoid unthinking conformity - its no good for generating new ideas and solutions you see.: : Given the above on its own, I wouldnt advise you to buy McD stock.
: Qx: Ahh...this is really interesting and it's actually worth a new thread all by itself. Warren Buffet bought a bunch of McD's stock a while back (Dairy Queen too). He looks for a consumer monopoly and that's what McSpotlight is against.
Then McSpotlite ought to just say no, and not buy Micky D's products or Dairy Queen.
Oh, and also allow others the freedom to buy those wonderful products, if they want to.

McSpotlight: We're against Dairy Queen too; although they haven't invaded the UK yet to our knowledge. We are against any multinational corporations that knowingly promotes an unhealthy diet that also involves cruelty and wastefulness - while we do not and would not force anyone to stop going there, we believe that people should be able to see the realities of the industry for themselves and be able to make an informed choice on their own. McDonald's felt differently and tried to sue people, which is why this is McSpotlight. You could also try reading "What's Wrong with Burger King" or similar documents on other large corporates in our Beyond McDonald's page...
We're not going to stop anyone buying anything; but if you can look at the reality behind the "wonderful products" without being shocked, that's for your conscience. If you don't want to look at the facts at all, then you are consuming without thought of the consequences of your actions to the world at large; profoundly irresponsible.
