You can listen to a symphony on a CD for a few dollars because greedy people thought the idiot consumers would be suckers for home entertainment systems and could be brainwashed into being ripped off to the tune of a few dollars to enjoy music again and again when once only the privilaged using contacts and pull could hear such once in a while from a *paid* orchestra.
