I have been turned away (transferered) from private hospitals "here in the usa" - it all depends on just how extensive the emergancy is deemed to be (and your insurance policy) (mainly the latter). If you can survive the length of time it takes an ambulance to get you from a private hospital to a public facility - off you go (off i went).

I think that more like 90% of income tax receipts come from the top quintile. After all, they can afford it more than other people, and there is no reason why anyone should make obscene amounts of money. Lousiana Senator Huey Long's propsals from teh 1930s are worth taking a look at; he said that no one should be able to make more than 1 million or own more than 5 million.
