: McSpotlight: The article in question was originally published in a small Israeli periodical (Commentary) noted for its right-wing stance; you can find the counterstory at http://www.newsunlimited.co.uk/Print/0,3858,3894912,00.html; friends of Said describe the story as "baseless and politically motivated".: (In other words, don't believe everything you read just because you happen to agree with it; weigh up both sides first...)
Naturally. And, of course, one shouldn't discount something that one reads merely because it comes from a source that one typically disagrees with.
Question: Is it common for McSpotlight to participate in the discussion by inserting editors comments into posts? I ask because, normally, I wouldn't be inclined to look at my own post (and would likely miss such inserts.)
I don't have a problem with editorial comments, but it seems sneaky to insert what amounts to a rebuttal in a place where everyone but the original poster is likely to see it.

McSpotlight: The moderators are free to add comments; something we do on occasions; the reason I added a comment was that I had seen both articles prior to your posting; and felt it was fair to put both sides of the story. If it's a point worthy of a lengthy comment, we'll make a separate post; but most times, we just add comments below.
