actually, here in Boston MA, we have a whole smorgasbord of left-wing groups to choose from. We have the Democratic Socialists of America (moderate socialist), the Socialist Workers' Party (Castroist), the Trotskyist Workers' Party, the International Socialist Organization, the Socialist Equality Party, the Communist Party, the Workers' World Party, the local wing of teh Brazilian Workers' Party, the Maoist Internationalist Moevment, the Revolutionary Communist Party, the Revolutionary Anti-Imperialist League, etcetra......that's not including vaguely leftist groups like teh American Friends' Service Committee, Neighbor to Neighbor, and others.

By teh way, I persoanlly don't think it would be a bad thing to ahve a litle bit of "witch hunting" as you say. At least it would pose teh question, "Which side are you on?" to all teh "left Democrats" including the pro-Clinton Communists. And now that teh SU is gone, what sort of accusations can they sling at us? That we're pawns of Cuba? Wow, what a threat to teh national security. Those Cubans, they got me shaking in my boots.
