Interesting, I differ seeing that the democratic state is, to a degree, accountable and through decentralisation and federalism has the potential to become more democratically accountable, the individual with a weapon is accountable to no one.
That said I'd be happier their was no weapons.

Of course there is, of the specifically ideological variety (Permanent Struggle socially and economically, statism, irrationality, religious commitment to leadership and obediance, racism, anti-semitism etc.) and the rabidly nationalist authoritarian state centralist "Socialists", I'm well aware of it and I wasnt denying that gun culture doesnt exist here. Given the opportunity in a nation not at war with itself or divided as mine is, and I think this is the case in US, I'd rail against "gun love" not in favour.
