Nikhil if you are a trotskyist, which I think you are, (sorry if that's an insult) what happened to the left opposition? Was Trotsky's position not that someone had to remain in permanent opposition even when the dictatorship which is supposed to supercede political antagonism and differences was established? (That is apart from if your a sailor and your opposing him) None.
