:it became apparent to Marx and Engels that a strong state, the Dictatorship of the Proletariat, was needed to protect and defend the revolution. Since then, we have the experiences of all the communist revolutions since that time and as history teaches, capital will do whatever it must to insure that it remains in political-economic control. --K
