If you see an advert for that job and want it, then you want the risk, you accept it, they tell you what it involves, you accept it. Your body/mind is yours to dispose of - you can still say no and quit at any time. If they agree to provide a level of safety which they then do not, they are in breach of contract.
If you contracted to work in an office, and the boss said 'could you just go and redo that exposed wiring this afternoon' you could rightly say 'no' - you werent employed for it. It wasnt agreed.
