Ergo the legislators (incl judiciary and executive) can do as they please as regards my life.I'm glad you have no illuasion about this. the text you illustrated with is a good example of how state attempts to prove legitimacy over the individual in claiming that your environment is the way it is because of it, and the fact of growing up in that environment represents implicit agreement with state.
Its fallacious ofcourse, such claim is as illegitimate as to claim original sin in a new born baby. It is a claim similar to one made by a mugger "I have the gun, I am the powerful one here, so you'd better do what I say"
