It definitely isnt although some perversions of marxism use nationalism to try and gain support for the nation state and nationalisation, however this isnt really consistant with a genuine marxist analysis which insisted in the replacement of the state with a paris commune stlye system of government.

The workers of the world are supposed to unite - the state is to wither away after a dictatorship of the proletariat - and then begins a benevolent anarchy. This is silly stuff to be sure. I am a Fabian Socialist, who believes that Capitalism must be slowly ground down. It will take generations to beat the beast. Unionization is the best tool to beat the McDonald leviathan.
