Isn't it ironic?

I know there probably is no logical connection, but I had an epiphany (if you want to call it that) the other day:

Isn't it ironic that a month or two after Hong Kong went under communist control that all of Asia just plummetted into a deep recession?!!!

I think it's kind of funny.

McSpotlight: As any number of people will probably tell you, the 'Asian flu' started in Indonesia and Thailand *before* the handover of Hong Kong; it merely spread to South Korea after the handover.
