: Mike...get it together .: What I stated was that the market is created by consumers who want a product.....that is why the corporation exists, to serve that need. If you disagree, then vote with your dollar.....yet that is your power. If you want to be more creative, then vote in that way...yet do not sit here and say that a bunch of high minded executives are sitting in an office and plotting ways to think up useless products and lie to us......if you don't buy it, they wont sell it. You are just pissed because it is hard for you to see that the lowest human denominator is the masses....and they want to buy a lot of shit......yet that is the way the market works, and they decide....so dont complain to me about a corporation...mention your argument in the line next week at Kroger when the guy beside you buys a pet rock....he is to blame.

And "high minded" executives do exactly what you have described. General Motors, Standard Oil, and Kelly-Springfield Tire conspired (and were indicted and convicted) in the 1950's to buy up existing public transportation systems with the intention of shutting them down, forcing people into the automobile mess we have now. Now THAT'S VOTING WITH THEIR DOLLARS! You preach about "competition", but support every effort to eliminate it. With every merger, there are fewer and fewer choices for citizens (you like to call them 'consumers').
