: Communism can not work because of "Human Nature." Each individual desires to do good for themselves. This is something we call Greed.SDF: You are superimposing your own personal mental state (i.e "greed") upon whole human societies ("communism"), who themselves do not amount to "human nature." It's not a convincing move because you're making a sweeping claim based only on a thought of yours. Look, there are a wide variety of books that discuss the amazing variety of social arrangements that have existed in human history, and if you studied them, it might give you a broader idea of what counts as "human nature." Please ask your high school or city public librarian for books on "cultural anthropology."
On the other hand, there are actual human social successes that can be attributed to socialism. Please read Nikhil Jaikumar's post here -- perhaps he'd respond if you posted a response.
