I would like to make a correction to my post, 'A Demonstration of Reinforcement.' A reinforcement schedule of 4: 1 would not be a variable-ratio schedule (as I incorrectly wrote), it would be a fixed-interval schedule. A variable-ratio would be, say, 4; 1 once, 3: 1 the next time, and perhaps 5: 1 the time after that...
