:... in Michael Walzer essay...: to paraphase, if you take all the resources and distribute them evenly in the beginning of the day, and give everyine "equal" power in the government, by the end of the night, the wealth would have been unequally reditributed, cause a class conflict (due to some trading goods for wealth, other saving..... etc.....) and power will have been given back to the few (someone enivitably convince another to let him/her lead by a passionate speach).
Ridiculous.
If all the resources, i.e. the means of production, were distributed evenly in the beginning of the day, then class conflict could not exist later that night: there would be only one class.
I'm not sure why you wrap the word equal in scare quotes when discussing equal participation in running the government, but perhaps those scare quotes help explain why anyone would surrender their stake in a government for a passionate speech. After all, passionate speeches have never had such an effect upon any other ruling class known to history.
In short, either Michael Walzer is an idiot or your interpretation of his work is idiotic, but one thing is certain: your post above was an embarrassment.
P.S. If biological determinism is your cup of tea, try Robert Nozick; he was a real pro at that sort of trash.
None.
