[circumscise]: Given that people are making sexuality the centre part or the entire part of their lives, I'm talking about sexuality mind, not love Sex, and unfortunately they are not the same thing, I feel that their has to advocates for the life style in which it is a side issue. In that way it cant be used as a source of aggrovation or supremacy.
Some gay rights groups put their sexuality up front, even to the extent of near-obscene displays in marches, because their sexuality has been MADE the main issue by their opponents. Gays are clobbered over the head with sexually-driven rhetoric, so why not turn that weapon against their oppressors? It's not any different from black pride marches of yesteryear in which African Americans (to use my own nation's example) put on dashikis and grew afros and banged drums in their marches during the civil rights days, or secular Jews wearing yarmulkes in the 1940's, or any other oppressed group saying to their oppressors: "You don't like what's different about me, well up yours, I'll show you just how damned different I am, and proud of it too!" (or, to use a relevant chant: "We're here, we're queer, get used to it!).
