Just because the global division of labor has put the production process out of your sight (here in the 'advanced'---read: imperialist---nations) doesn't mean that busy little hands are not making all the goodies you take for granted. As far as the 'internet revolution' goes, only 25% of the (bourgeoisified) American workers have access (Statistical Abstract of the United States 1998, table 916, p. 573)... BTW, Labor Department data: the top four occupations in America are cashiers, janitors, salespeople, and waiters (New York Times, 31 August 1997, sec. 4, p. 9). Some 'information age'...
