Like Rand, I would rather see ownership devolve to those that might most efficiently develop the land for use. Were this done, I would wish said owner to profit from his investment. I fail to see how skin color would figure into this relationship between capitalization and ownership, but I'd be willing to listen.I am not impressed by those who use racial and ethnic politics to muddy the need for capitalist investment and management, whether it is a tactic used by a David Duke or a Mahatma Ghandhi. WHat the people in former Rhodesia need are jobs, not emotional calls for even stronger cultural partisanship. Those jobs come from business, and industry, not name changes.
This sort of thing works no better in southern Africa than it does in the Balkans, you know. Or India, for that matter.
