: When exactly did Fascism become a right-wing movement?

When Mussolini and his goons, armed by the desperate Italian bourgeoisie, called themselves fascists in the 1920s. In other words: from the beginning.

For your edification: the J.P. Morgan company leny over $100 million dollars to Mussolini's government; the President of the New York Stock Exchange publicly supported Italian fascism; Barron's, Nation's Business (the official organ of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce), and the Wall Street Journal publicly supported Italian fascism; and the American Legion appointed Mussolini an honorary member (source: Diggins, Mussolini and Fascism: The View from America, Princeton UNiversity Press 1972, pp. 32, 146, and 206).

Now, let's hear more about 'laissez-faire' capitalism, please...
