: Paraphrasing Gee just a little:Just too much to be anything less than a re write. Stop arguing from possible consequences Barry, youre on a losing streak. I even pointed out which part of your argument was useful but you just cant get over this hurdle!
: If a minority pollutes and you defend a minority's 'right' to DO WHATEVER THEY WANT, then you defend the 'rights' of a minority to pollute.
Or to own cuddly toys. Youre arguing without recourse to any principle? So 51% think its wrong to own cuddly toys, despite there being no bad consequences. Whats your argument then?
Stop banging on about pollution as if it proves your principle - it does no such thing!
: And how do you respond to your latest intellectual defeat?
By not taking your verdict as the gospel you believe it to be.
: With nonsequiturs uttered by imagainary debating surrogates...
With a demonstration of how bereft of meaning your above argument is.
Can you argue that majority makes right in the case of *any* situation at all? Bath times on sunday? Ownership of cuddly toys?
If you think the 51% is right to stop pollution because pollution is damaging then what if only 10% thought the same? Even though the actual damage by pollution remains the same? So then its ok to pollute?
You've surprised me - I didnt think you surrender anything to the 51% rule.
