Well, these replies, however devastating they might be to me personally, are not high points in your campaign to rid the world and Internet of liberals and commies. : How about if we just take abuse and hostility as a given--I object to you and you object to me--and I'll just say the words "I'm a douchebag" to myself every time I read a post which responds to something I've said. Then you don't have to waste your time calling me names and can continue with the important task of delineating and disseminating your views, which I'm sure are rational and well-thought.

Did I take your post in the wrong vein? Wasn't your post written to belittle me as a sycophant? Didn't you mean to imply that I was incapable of thinking for myself?
If that was what you meant to convey, my response was not only appropriate, it was self-deprecating and humorous as well.
