From what I remember reading back in the 1980s, Sandinismo was a SOCIAL-DEMOCRATIC regime, the Nicaraguan economy 40% nationalized under Ortega. That about corresponds to the national control currently the Israeli economy.

Couldn't the Sandinistas have nationalized even more of the Nicaraguan economy? It should have been fairly obvious at the time of the "contra" war that the Secret Team was waging a total war against the Nicaraguan people, that every stone was a weapon.

Another idea that didn't go far enough, another loss to analyze.
