: Hi Lark,Hey-low
: You bet I will stay around here to monitor the activities of fellow reds (and also the enemy of course). you know, it is pretty hard to be a Communist of Finland. The Finnish population still has a great fear of Communism since the two world wars, and rightly so! During the 1918 rebellion "Johnny Red" stood up in southern Finland, starting the Civil war. The reds were beaten brutally by "white" troops under Mannerheim. Then under WWII Finland was attacked unprovoked by Russia under Stalin (that Swine) (as a matter of fact the 30th of November 1939, 60 years ago was the day when the Winter War started). This all led to a Finnish-German alliance and for the rest of the war we were with Hitlers fascist Germany.
Well, principles are different from military monarchist regimes who claim to be 'socialist'. I also think that your example of Finland attacked from all angles is a good example of how any socialist revolution should first be national, then international.
: People do not seem to know that me and my generation of Finnish Communists represent new ideals. We do not look up to persons like Stalin (even Lenin is beginning to fall away after some grotesque historical facts have been put into daylight). We represent the new way and the new era that is upon us! So there.
I'm very glad to hear that it's about time that some people cooled their jets about Lenin and co. and accepted that they where not the best examples of people engaged in a socialist initiative and wasted less time defending them.
: Still people around here referr to me as if I was a follower of Stalin himself. We are very few holding up the red banner. It is nice to know that there are other reddies out there, and while we might disagree on some issues, I am sure we all agree on the outlines at least.
Yes, we agree in principle we agree that the privatisation of the globe should be resisted and the culture of everything is for sale should be reversed.
The other disagreements could be minor if held in a spirit of liberty.
: I will have to go over your answer again and post a reply tomorrow.
Cheers.
None.
