What I think SDF is gettin at is that

1)you could hang around spouting revolutionary rhetoric ad infinitum and never have more than a few middle class Uni students commited to the revolution

or

2)You can start without waiting for the whole world to agree with you - any way you can - and then see your community in practice influence people, which it would do alot more than talking about revolutions.

I can see his point (if it is that).
